Justin has been climbing into the tree care world since 2006, getting his start on a power line clearing crew where he quickly learned that safety isn’t optional—it’s everything. Over the years, he’s added to his skillset with certifications like Tree Safety Professional (CTSP), Electrical Hazard Awareness Program (EHAP), and became an ISA Certified Arborist in 2009.

In 2018, he put those years of experience to work by starting Columbus Tree Care, built on a simple idea: do honest work, do it safely, and treat every property like it’s your own. Whether it’s routine pruning or a tricky removal, we bring a hands-on, detail-oriented approach to every job.

It’s not all chainsaws and cleanup—Justin is also an accomplished climber. He’s a three-time Ohio Tree Climbing Competition champion (2010, 2015, 2016) and has competed on the international stage as well. These days, Columbus Tree Care also gives back by sponsoring the Ohio Tree Climbing Competition and supporting the next generation of climbers.

Serving the Columbus Metropolitan area is our day to day operations, but when big storms roll in, we don’t just stay local. Our crew has traveled out of town to help with hurricane cleanup, ice storms and tornados. Tackling trees on homes and helping get things back to normal as quickly as possible.

Nothing at CTC could be possible without our incredible team. Ryan has been with us since the beginning as a part-time help, and became a full time employee in 2024. Phil and Justin worked together before Columbus Tree Care started. Phil has been a full time employee since 2021. Both of these men have been critical to the success of Columbus Tree Care.
